Interviews

Occasionally, I run across an expert in the field of backpacking or a related field with so much to offer that I want to share it with you.

This "Interviews" section is the results of gleaning information from those experts. Read what follows and gain a wealth of information that can only be obtained from the "been there, done that" crowd. Mimic their successes; avoid their mistakes.

By highlighting the accomplishments of these experts, I hope to honor their contribution to outdoorsmanship. I would like to thank each contributor for their valuable time, energy and expertise that they freely share with other hikers. Thank you for your dedication to hiking.

Enjoy these interviews.

Deb Lauman--Outdoor Enthusiast, author, search & rescue volunteer, businesswoman.

Michael Skourtes--Combined outdoorsmanship with photography talent to build a satisfying and successful landscape photography business.

Judith Harlan--Long-time hiker with a fresh perspective. Check out her Ladies Hiking Rules.

The Outdoor Campus--A South Dakota outdoor education center that is FREE to the public. This is a "must do" spot if you are in the area. In fact, it would be worth your while to make a detour to take in this special destination.

Outdoor High Adventure--Colton Gardner has created a growing community of hikers of every skill level which includes a backpacking forum and a recipes and food tips blog.
